The way people work, and the way companies operate, keeps changing.
Retail associates help customers anywhere in the store with mobile POS. Nurses record patient data on tablets as they make their rounds. Salespeople work anywhere in the office with just a laptop.
Businesses everywhere are seeing the benefits of a mobile workforce. But what if your wireless signal isn’t strong enough to support one, and your carrier isn’t the problem? Clients often come to us with exactly this issue: they want to go mobile, and connectivity is holding them back. The fix starts with a heat map survey.
What is a heat map survey?
A heat map survey measures signal strength throughout a space, taking into account the structure, distances and where devices are used.
On-site survey. A technician visits your space and records coverage throughout the building with specialized software. We map the data onto the floor plan you provide.
Predictive survey. Without visiting, we enter environmental details such as wall types and ceiling heights into your floor plan to model signal strength and the ideal placement of access points.
From survey to stronger signal
Knowing where the signal is weak is only part of the job. We also create a remediation plan, which might mean swapping out devices, relocating existing ones, installing new ones, or a combination of all three. We walk you through the plan and complete the agreed scope. If you’d like, we run a post-project survey to show how coverage has improved.
The result: stronger signal across your space, less channel overlap and better throughput. Staff no longer have to hunt for a data jack in certain areas, and mobile stations work wherever they’re needed.
Connectivity problems cost productivity. Don’t let a weak signal hold back your move to a mobile workforce. See our wireless services or set up a heat map survey.
